Firewise Landscape Pavilion

Demonstrating that small projects can provide great opportunities for design, the Firewise Landscape Pavilion is part of a demonstration project to show how residents in Jefferson County and the South Hills of Helena can utilize landscaping and building materials that help protect their homes from the ever increasing danger of wildfires. DOWLING donated its services and created a unique design that utilizes gabion walls of rock, steel, heavy timber, and Trex cladding. Rainwater collection from the pavilion and the adjacent fire station roof provides an example of simple landscape watering.
